Mindful Learning Design Spaces

I stumbled upon this space in the grounds of a priory and church. It is a community space designed for mindful activities and collaborative work. To my mind, it brings together some of the best elements of Scandinavian design, but also has echoes of not only Roman spaces with the atrium-like forum, but also Japanese design. The nod to timber frame design and the original pattern of trees also has echoes of cloistered spaces, with their beautiful arches representing a natural glade in which you could walk and think. This in itself is a spectacular learning design.
